Software platform BrightAnalytics moves to the Netherlands

TRENDS – The fintech company has outgrown the start-up phase and is beginning its international growth in the Netherlands.

West-Flemish BrightAnalytics’ software platform links a company’s financial data to its operational data. The fintech company has outgrown the start-up phase and is beginning its international growth in the Netherlands. “Until the start of this year, we were just waiting for our phone to ring.”

While most young technology companies take years to become profitable, BrightAnalytics, founded in 2014, was immediately self-sustaining. While many entrepreneurs in the start-up phase call on the guidance of accelerators, the three founders of the fintech company fend for themselves. While the majority of start-ups seek each other out and set up shop in the big cities, BrightAnalytics operates from Hooglede, not far from Roeselare.

BrightAnalytics is heading for a turnover of 2 million euros this year, but is only at the beginning of its internationalization. “Until the start of this year, we were just waiting for our phone to ring. Customers brought in new customers,” says Merijn Demuynck. “The startup phase is behind us, we are now entering the growth phase.”

BrightAnalytics is therefore moving abroad. The Netherlands is the first stop. “We already had Dutch customers, but they had blown in by chance,” says Bogaert. “Now it’s going to be a real launch. We’re going to be proactive in the market.”
